In geodetic astrology the zodiac is laid onto the Earth by longitude: 0° at Greenwich is 0° Aries, and the signs run eastward from there in twelve 30° zones. A planet’s Midheaven line falls at the terrestrial longitude matching its place in the zodiac, so it is a straight meridian — no dependence on the clock, which is why one cast at midnight holds for the whole day. The curved pair are its horizon lines, which do depend on latitude and stop at the polar circles.
