Astrocartography maps your natal chart onto the Earth. Each planet draws lines across the globe where it was rising, setting, or culminating at the moment of your birth. Being close to those lines tends to colour your experience of that place. ELA Map draws those lines on an interactive globe from your birth data.

At the moment you were born, every planet was rising somewhere on Earth, setting somewhere else, and directly overhead along one line of longitude. Recompute your chart for every point on the globe and those positions join up into lines: your Sun line, your Venus line, and so on. ELA Map does that computation for all ten planets and draws the result on the map, then adds a written reading for any line or city you tap.

They are cousins, both branches of locational astrology. Relocation astrology recasts your whole birth chart for one chosen city. Astrocartography draws every city at once, as lines. Cyclocartography adds time: transit lines showing where the planets moving today are crossing your chart across the Earth, which is how you time a trip or a move. ELA Map does all three, and Today reads the moving part for the place you are standing.

There are two kinds of accuracy here. The lines themselves are astronomy, not opinion: ELA Map computes them from JPL DE440, the same ephemeris data NASA uses, with positions accurate to a fraction of an arcsecond. If a line is drawn through Lisbon, that is where it is. What a line means is interpretation: astrocartography is a lens for noticing patterns between your chart and places, not a machine that predicts events. One practical note: line positions depend on your birth time, and an error of about 15 minutes can shift angle lines roughly 200 miles. The better your birth time, the sharper your map.

The astrology and Human Design text is written by people and kept in a curated library. When you open a reading, software selects the entries that apply to your chart and place, and a light edit pass smooths them into one read, checked against the library before you see it. Nothing is invented by a chatbot.
