A Sun line marks where the Sun was rising, setting, overhead, or underfoot at the moment you were born. It is where you're most likely to shine: visibility, confidence, and a kind of easy vitality that other people notice before you name it. The Sun is the one body whose lines rarely read as outright difficult. It mostly amplifies whatever you already are, for better and occasionally for worse.

Sun MC line: the fame line
Career-minded readers usually care most about the Sun MC line, sometimes called the fame line. The MC (Midheaven) is where a planet goes public: career, reputation, the version of you the world files under your name. The Sun here marks places where professional recognition and social advancement come with less resistance than usual, often through helpful contacts who notice you without much effort on your part. Achievement and recognition are the core themes. For ambition-driven moves, this is usually the Sun line to look for first.
Sun AC line: visibility in person
The Sun AC line works more personally. The AC (Ascendant) is where a planet leads: it's the first thing a place pulls out of you. The Sun here boosts confidence in your presence itself, the sense of being seen the moment you walk in a room, sometimes to the point of feeling like the center of attention whether you asked for it or not. Confidence, visibility, and vitality run closer to the surface here than anywhere else on your map.
Sun DC line: partners who spotlight you
The Sun DC line brings the Sun in through other people. The DC (Descendant) shows up in who you meet, who you partner with, and what they ask of you. This line tends to draw partners who admire and spotlight you. That's flattering right up until the relationship starts to feel more like an audience than an equal footing. Worth knowing about yourself before you commit to living on it.
Sun IC line: private pride
The Sun IC line is the quietest of the four. The IC is where a planet works in private: home, roots, the inner life nobody photographs. The Sun here reads as a private glow of self-worth at home, pride of place, pride in the life you've built there, even if nobody outside sees it. It's the Sun line for people who want the warmth without the spotlight.
How close counts
A line has an orb: a band on either side where the influence tapers with distance instead of cutting off. Living directly on your Sun MC line and living a few hundred miles from it are different propositions, and both are worth reading.
