Venus line astrocartography meaning

What a Venus line means in astrocartography on each angle: the Venus DC "marriage line", Venus MC nourishing success, Venus AC charm, and the comfortable Venus IC.

Astrocartography lines from one birth chart drawn across the globe in ELA Map, each planet's rising, setting, overhead, and underfoot lines in its own color

Each planet's lines carry their own color on the map. Tracing where your Venus runs, and on which angle, is a matter of looking, not decoding.

A Venus line marks where Venus was rising, setting, overhead, or underfoot at the moment you were born. It marks where beauty, pleasure, and connection come more easily: money, art, and love all tend to loosen up under this line. All four Venus lines are generally considered favorable, which is unusual. Most planets have at least one angle that asks something hard of you, but Venus mostly doesn't.

This page covers Venus on each of the four angles. For the general mechanics of reading any line, orb and angle type, see the hub guide.

Venus DC line: the marriage line

The Venus DC line is sometimes called the marriage line: committed relationships are more likely to form or deepen for people living there, or with partners connected to that place. The DC is the angle where a planet arrives through other people, and Venus there means the people it brings tend to bring romance, ease, and partnership with them. Of the two relationship-heavy Venus lines, this is the more direct one.

Venus MC line: love and work reinforcing each other

The Venus MC line tends toward a partnership that feels spiritually nourishing rather than merely convenient, with success and love reinforcing each other instead of competing. The MC is the public, career-facing angle, so Venus here also softens the professional path itself: work that involves beauty, diplomacy, or taste tends to land better, and success arrives in a form that supports the rest of your life rather than eating it.

Venus AC line: charm and artistic flair

The Venus AC line favors personal charm and artistic self-expression more than partnership specifically. The AC is where a planet leads, so Venus here changes how you come across: you tend to be seen as more attractive, more graceful, an easier person to be around. A strong line for artists and for anyone whose life improves when first impressions do.

Venus IC line: comfort, sometimes too much

The Venus IC line is the most materially comfortable of the four: easy, supported, indulgent. The IC is the private angle of home and roots, and Venus there furnishes it generously. The one caution is that it can be too easy, since a life with nothing to strive for can quietly erode ambition along with the discomfort. A wonderful line for rest; a risky one for a decade.

How close counts

Venus lines follow the same orb logic as every line: strongest on the exact line, tapering with distance rather than cutting off. And a Venus line that meets another planet's line in a crossing takes on that planet's story too. A Venus × Saturn crossing is not the same promise as Venus alone. The hub guide covers reading both.

Common questions

That's its common nickname. Committed relationships are more likely to form or deepen for people living on a Venus DC line, or with partners connected to that place. It doesn't conjure a marriage out of nothing; it lowers the friction on partnership forming and deepening. For relationship-driven moves it's the first Venus line to check.
