Using ELA Map with Clients
How astrologers and Human Design readers use ELA Map in client work: keep client charts, prepare a session, present live, and handle client data with care.
Using ELA Map with Clients
ELA Map is built so one map can carry a whole practice: a chart for every client, the astrocartography and Human Design views side by side, and a clean way to show it on a call. This guide is the working order most practitioners settle into.
[!NOTE] Client work leans on Pro: unlimited charts, client-marked charts and Presentation Mode. Premium holds five charts and the free plan one, which is enough to try the method.
1. Add the chart, and mark it as a client
Add each client's birth date, place and time the way you add your own. Enter the time as the clock showed at the birthplace. If the time is uncertain, say so when you add the chart: the form offers a rising-sign estimate or a noon placeholder, and the chart remembers how sure you were. A noon placeholder makes the rising sign, houses and angle lines less reliable, so tell the client before you read from them.
On Pro, mark the chart as a client so your own chart and your clients stay apart in the list.
2. Prepare before the call
- Open the client's chart and look at the lines near the places they are weighing.
- Use My Places to save the places in play. A place's open view can be read through another saved chart with the Me menu, so you can check the same city against a client's chart.
- Switch between Astro and Human Design at the top of the map to see both readings of a place.
- Compare up to five charts on one map for couples and families. Colors tell people apart.
3. Present live
Presentation Mode hides the app's chrome and puts every
control in one radial menu, so you keep your eyes on the map and the person. Build your stops
before the call, add captions, and save the session. Sessions belong to the active chart.
It is a desktop feature. Press Ctrl + Shift + P to enter or leave.
4. Send something to keep
A written report on a place is a good thing to leave a client with. Reports are available on every plan, and the Help page lists what each one contains.
5. Look after client data
Client charts hold personal birth data, so treat them as you would any client record.
- You can delete a single chart at any time from your chart list.
- Deleting your account removes every chart, saved place and note we hold. See how to delete your account.
- Before you add someone's details, tell them you are doing so. The privacy policy says what we store and why.
